Kudelski Security, the cybersecurity division within the Kudelski Group, today announced that Forrester Research has recognized the company as a leader in their report, The Forrester Wave™: Emerging Managed Security Services Providers (MSSPs), Q3 2018.
“Forrester’s recognition of our managed security services reinforces for us our status as a fast-growing, disruptive leader focused on offering new approaches to security,” said Rich Fennessy, chief executive officer, Kudelski Security. “Everything we develop is evaluated against the dual questions: Will it make security more effective? Will it remove complexity at the client end? In a time of increasing threats and a proliferation of technologies promising answers, the need to work with a trusted partner has never been more urgent.”
The Forrester Wave report (forrester.com) evaluated 10 top emerging managed services providers and identified Kudelski Security as one of the two leaders in the category. Emerging MSSPs share common traits such as their adoption of a risk-based approach to security, their ability to help strengthen clients’ security maturity and their knowledge of the target market. Kudelski Security received its highest scores in the following criteria: business and technical value, reporting capabilities (including dashboard and user interface), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, automation, user experience road map and talent management.
In the report, Forrester notes: “Kudelski analysts operate under the assumption that proactive detection and prevention will fail, so they aim to follow and learn from attackers as the attacker travels through the kill chain.” Forrester also states: “Kudelski Security offers enhanced usability with an intuitive, well-designed portal. Kudelski Security’s [client] portal has unique features […] and the company provides a thorough, transparent implementation process.”
“Kudelski Security launched its managed security services 18 months ago. One of the main factors behind our sustained growth is a commitment to provide services that meet client needs,” said Alton Kizziah, vice president of managed security services, Kudelski Security. “Going into 2019, we will continue to evaluate the expansion of our managed security services and plan significant investments in innovative cloud, IaaS and SaaS offerings.”
A key pillar of Kudelski Security’s MSS 2.0 security solutions are its managed detection and response (MDR) offerings. MDR uses iterative intelligence, machine learning and AI, and advanced threat hunting capabilities to quickly identify malicious activity and accelerate incident response. Kudelski Security was also the first MSSP to deliver a solution featuring illusive networks‘ solution, which minimizes time-to-detection and the impact of breaches by forcing cyber intruders into an alternate reality. The MDR suite also includes technology from CrowdStrike that utilizes enhanced endpoint machine learning capabilities to support prevention of malware and malware-less attacks at the endpoint.
In addition to the Forrester recognition, Kudelski Security continues to earn industry acclaim for its innovation, vision and ability to deliver for clients. In the first half of 2018, Kudelski Security’s endpoint detection and response, managed attacker deception, and threat hunting offerings were recognized by Gartner and Frost & Sullivan. In January 2018, Frost & Sullivan profiled Kudelski Security as an advanced player in threat detection, leveraging cutting edge technology, and the company earned global recognition from Gartner as a recognized vendor for MDR in their June 2018 Market Guide. Further recognition comes from CRN, which ranked the company in the CRN MSP 500 list and named CEO Rich Fennessy as one of the industry’s top 25 disruptors.
