Small retailers can now save hours of time, hassle, and tedious work typically required searching for credible wholesale suppliers. Take away this frustrating research and retailers now have added freedom to browse merchandise and compare prices.
The web-based database benefits both online and offline retailers including; general convenience store owners, mail-order vendors, SOHO manufacturers and distributors, auction and flea market sellers, closeout/ discount merchandisers, and entrepreneurs looking to start a business.
The editors are very selective about which suppliers end up in the directory. Suppliers are reviewed ensuring they meet specific standards before being added to the guide. For example, suppliers must offer merchandise in quantities, require a resale ID from the retailer, have a website address and be located in the United States. Later, suppliers can be rated and reviewed by the users.
“Quality is a very heavy target here. You will not find suppliers with poorly designed websites or wholesalers not offering products in bulk quantities. Also, you will not find many major manufacturers in our guide.“ states owner Thomas Harris.
In fact, legitimate wholesalers are very hard to find these days. Try typing “wholesale suppliers” in any of the major search engines and the results would quickly disappoint most retailers. Jason Collins from the BusinessWholesale.net forum says, “If you are using a search engine to find a real wholesale distributor then you are glaring down a dark road. There are a lot of fakes and scammers online you have to sort through to find the real wholesalers.”
There are many reliable and trustworthy wholesale suppliers available online, but most people do not have the patience or know-how to locate them. Chaunte from Chaunte’s Auction states, “There are wholesalers out there. You just need to do your homework and ask questions.”
