PRTODAY - Newswire & PRZOOM/ - Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa, 10/01/2009 - MiX Telematics and SafeDrive International have been appointed as the sole supplier of IVMS systems to the BG Group Plc.

This contract will span all of the global BG Group's operations and will encompass the supply of FM3306 hardware with a combination of FM-Web and the Platinum SDI managed services package.

This contract has been awarded after many years of MiX Telematics and SDI working with the BG Group on isolated projects and after a long tender process which started earlier this year.

About Platinum SDI managed services package

The premium level of subscription allows BG locations to enjoy the added benefits of a dedicated SDI data analyst reviewing their data and identifying trends pertaining to all key elements of fleet management including driver safety, vehicle utilisation etc. The service allows key relationships between the client and SDI's subject matter experts to develop and sustain optimum and safe fleet operations. Ownership in fleet performance is shared and a long term vision toward safe vehicles being driven by safe drivers that result in safe journeys results.
