Alta Data Technologies (Alta) of Rio Rancho, NM, a leader in advanced avionics interface modules, announces new support for IntervalZero’s RTX 2009 software, which extends the capabilities of Microsoft Windows operating systems, enabling delivery of hard real-time performance.
An RTX driver is provided at no cost with Alta’s standard MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC interface cards. “This new driver support enables our customers to quickly integrate Alta 1553 and ARINC products into RTX/ Windows environments. RTX is well-designed software that provides our customers deterministic, real-time performance with Alta’s products for Windows platforms.” states Rich Wade, CTO of Alta.

Alta has introduced several new standard features such as signal capture, signal generators and advanced packetized 1553 Common Data Packet architectures. Provided with most cards is an advanced, modular AltaAPI software tool kit that easily ports between operating systems and provides true, independent application support between device channels. Alta’s PCI/PCI Express, PMC, XMC, PCCARD, VPX, cPCI and PCI Express interface cards and software are offered in multi channel configurations and includes ARINC combination channels on most platforms. Operating system platforms include MS Windows, Wind River VxWorks, Greenhills Integrity, LynxWorks LynxOS, Linux 32-bit and 64-bit, National Instrument’s LabView/LabWindows and Sun Solaris Solaris.
